In indoor air sampled at six sites of a French teaching hospital, including the reception hall, the main compounds found were alcohols, chiefly ethanol and isopropanol, together with ethers and ketones; alcohol levels varied greatly over time, probably because of the intensive use of alcohol-based hand rubs.
One hospital sampled over three days; sites included a reception hall and care areas rather than corridors, and it measures air composition, not odour.SRC-HOSPITAL-2013 · PRIMARY
