Wood terpenes in a home improvement store ↗

In a home improvement and gardening store in northeastern Portugal, α-pinene was the most prevalent indoor volatile organic compound, reaching 98 μg/m³ in the wood section, and α-pinene, limonene and hexanal prevailed indoors, most likely from wood products.

One store of a home improvement and gardening chain, sampled in December 2021 and January 2022; it measures air composition, not odour.
